Megan is a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Clinician passionate about spreading awareness regarding the various and very common Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders that exist but are often overlooked.
She is available to provide assessments and treatment options for women struggling with depression, anxiety, irritability, stress, etc. during pregnancy and postpartum and loves providing resources to help families navigate the various challenges and demands of parenting.
Megan is an EMDR practitioner and uses this modern, evidence-based treatment to help individuals who have experienced trauma or are struggling with anxiety related to birth. Through EMDR therapy, Megan has helped countless individuals move beyond the distress to eliminate triggers and find healing and wellness.
She is approved by the Virginia Board of Counseling as a registered supervisor and provides both individual and group supervision to Residents in Counseling who are working toward Virginia State Licensure.
Megan frequently presents on topics related to maternal mental health and is the co-founder of Be Hive Wellness.

Resident in Counseling
Cecilia earned her master's degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2021, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Since then, her journey has led her to focus on maternal mental health, particularly in addressing the complexities of postpartum anxiety and depression.
She has a strong passion for equipping parents with the vital skills required to cultivate a wholesome and nurturing environment for their children. Drawing upon extensive knowledge of child development, she aims to empower clients to foster profound connections with their children, realize and conquer their parenting aspirations, and cultivate a sense of accomplishment throughout their parenting journey.
Harnessing an array of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and solution-focused therapy, she works collaboratively with clients to craft customized tools and strategies that guide them toward their objectives.
Her personal background as a military spouse and homeschooling mother of three provides her with an intimate understanding of the distinctive pressures and challenges that accompany parenting. She is committed to establishing a safe and supportive space where clients can candidly explore their obstacles, setbacks, hopes, goals, and achievements.

Resident in Counseling
Susan is a Resident in Counseling with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and specialization in trauma, crisis, grief, and loss. Currently, she provides therapy to individuals, couples, and families. Susan has a special interest in treating perinatal mood disorders, trauma, depression, and anxiety.
Before entering the counseling field, Susan worked for over 25 years as an occupational therapist and taught in graduate college. She earned a Doctor of Science (ScD) in Occupational Science, an interdisciplinary field that examines the meaning of everyday activities that people need and want to do. This background informs Susan’s counseling perspective by deepening her understanding of how mental health challenges influence daily routines, relationships, and identity. She believes healing involves not only symptom relief but also helping people reconnect with what matters most to them in daily life.
Susan’s primary counseling approaches are person-centered and trauma-informed. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She also draws from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior (DBT), and Gestalt psychotherapy approaches, depending on the unique needs of clients. Her therapeutic style is warm, accepting, and motivating.
